700r4 and 4l60e pump interchangability question

Last update. If you have read through up until this point you know the point of this post was to discuss replacing the regulator/boost valves in a pump to make it work with a 700r4. Unfortunately this appears to not be possible. As I was searching on sonnax's website for the exact size of the...

Rebuilt 4l60e already leaking from this spot

Maybe your trolling but I guess I will bite and state the obvious....most vehicles that came with a 4l60e had more than 250 from the factory. I guess everyone's milage various but I never had any issues with 4l60e's. I just recently sold a Tahoe it 220k miles on the clock and still shifted...

700r4 and 4l60e pump interchangability question

An update on this. I tried removing the boost valve/regulator today. Apparently gm did not anticipate a 4l60e boost valve ever ending up in a 700r4. The valve will not clear the case. I think I should be able to "clearance" the little window in the case with a drill bit or something to get the...

Rebuilt 4l60e already leaking from this spot

I would let the shop look at it. It sounds like it is starting in third instead of 1st which means it is in "limp home mode"or It could be slipping because of low fluid due to the leaking connector. I think it being in limp mode is more likely but I would check the fluid before driving it to the...

Will it go in reverse? If so but feels sluggish in od then the round plug that is leaking probably is not getting a good connection as well which is causing the transmission to start out in third. If it doesn't have reverse then that means something more serious. I would ensure the fluid isn't low.

No, also your back up lights will not come on and it won't start since that sensor is your park/neutral safety switch. I would confirm it wasn't damaged when it was disconnected. Silicone is used to seal the connectors from the factory making it very hard to disconnect without damaging.

Yes it can. You will have to drop the pan though. It's kind of tricky to remove because it has a bunch of tabs that hold it to the case that all need to be pushed in at once. I've heard of people putting a deep socket over the connector on the outside to push in the tabs but can't remember what...

1992 K1500 Blazer-700r4 torque converter not locking up at all.

I have a 92 k1500 blazer as well. There is no vacuum switch. The tcc is completely controlled by the ECU with the brake switch acting as an override. You should be able to use a jump wire in the aldl to rule out the ecm(pin f to a). If it does engage then the ecm or ecm connector is the issue...

    1999 5 spd 7.4 dies at idle

I had a tps cause some idle issues on an s10 for about a year before finally setting a dtc. It would usually idle way higher than normal but never died. It would only have issues once the engine was warm. I assume no codes? Any correlation between engine temp and the dying?

    94 K1500 Starting Issue

Maybe they are referring to the hot fuel module? If so those were only on the r/v series trucks. Not sure why that would affect which pump you need though. Iirc the Delphi pump came with 2 size rubber things that the pump sat in. Only one actually fit my sending unit. It also came with a...

    92 454 nv4500 to 88 454 400th

According to autozone's website the 92 came with a 4l80e and the 88 came with a Turbo 400 so I would go with the flexplate for the 88

700r4 and 4l60e pump interchangability question

Hello all, This is my first post in a while (ever?) to this forum. I have often found advise on this forum valuable and wanted to post a question for the transmission experts out there. Truck: 1992 k1500 blazer 5.7 l 700r4 4wd about 6 months back the front pump seal in my truck blew. A very...
