I own a 98 Ram 2500 2wd with the V10, only 78k. It's been dealer serviced and used as a tow-pig until last year when I picked it up. I used it as a DD for a few months, and towed my 6500# 5th wheel 90 miles away for a week of camping. The only repairs I've needed to do were a oil sending unit...
...and a third; what part of US you located (hot or cold climate)?
...OK, one more for the masses. Is the fuel supply on a '92 dependent on seeing oil pressure?
Couple questions.
First, did this problem first appear when you tried to start it, or did it shut off while running?
Second, can you hear the pump running to prime the system for a few seconds when you turn the key on?
Obviously you need to stop going to the Springs! in lieu of that, were the components listed replaced prior to the trip last year, or after it gave you trouble then but before this trip?
Have you changed the fuel filter. Could be just enough blockage to starve the engine, especially after...
According to the listing it should be a direct replacement. However, with only one review, and that one a negative one I'd be skeptical on the quality.
So this caught my eye. Enough to go check it out. All pieces in decent to good shape.

I don't need them but what are the pieces worth on CL?
You should be able to find the sticker with the RPO codes in the glove box. Once you have that, you can lift the rear, spin the driveshaft by hand (in neutral) and count how many times the drive shaft spins for one complete revolution of the tire. 3.42 will spin nearly three and a half times...
Forgive me if this question's been asked and answered before. I've tried a search but came up with nothing definitive.
I've got a '99 K3500 (still the style) with aftermarket headlights. They're clean, clear and look to be failry new but the light pattern is horrendous no matter how they're...
2 door or 4 door? What head unit etc. are you using to drive these? Any amp?
Here's a link to Crutchfield's site, where you can put in your vehicle specs and find out what will fit, and what modifications may need to be made.

Funny, I was just talking to my brother (cert. mechanic) about this issue and he said the first two things he would check are fuel pressure and engine coolant sensor. He said he's seen an ECT sensor (the one for the ecm) cause intermittent overfueling problems for the 5.0 and 5.7. Not sure if it...
HD_DUALLY, that's a great looking truck! I'm curios about your wheel/tire combo. What size are they, and are they stock wheels? If so, what size spacer do you run? My K3500 is begging for a something bigger than the stock 225s/
Will you be using if for anything besides radio and playing cd's? Any streaming from your phone? Once you have bluetooth streaming and hands free calling, you'll really enjoy it.
I assume from your budget you're not going to be adding a subwoofer or additional amps so you want the best sound...
My new-to-me '99 K3500 CC long box dually 4x4. Just over 100,000 miles, with 7.4 and 4L80E and 4.10 gears.
Runs and drives great with a few bugs to work out. Way more truck than I need to pull my 6500# 5th wheel but I really love the CC and especially having 4x4 again.
My wife wanted to take...
Great, thanks for the quick reply! My new to me '99 K3500 wouldn't start, flashing Security light a last Monday. Had to wait til Saturday to dig into but when I checked it out it started up and has been fine since. I'd like to do the bypass so I don't have to worry about it happening again...
