1966 Chevrolet 300 Sedan "Here we go, again."

A 66 sedan is one of my bucket list cars. Currently caretaker of this 64 Malibu crewcab. 100% original survivor car, 85k on the factory 230/Powerglide. I've got an LM7 and 4L60E to spice things up a little at some point.

    65’ Malibu SS/ Backroad thrasher.

That frame most definitely is bent. It extends all the way to the bumper, which is clearly pushed in a considerable amount. The fact that you say the shackle and leaf seem fine is a bit concerning... considering no Chevelle ever had leaf springs.

Monroe coilovers or Monroe Gas Magnum rear shocks?

Shocks and their mounts aren't designed to bear weight, and are known for breaking. No way would I ever recommend installing a coil assisted shock.

How to Put a Vortec Motor in a TBI Truck

Also, Edelbrock part number 8032 is an easy solution for correcting throttle and TV cable geometry, I used it on my 94, so I didn't have to deal with the TV, but allowed me to retain cruise and throttle operation.

    ?? 10 Bolt - 12 Bolt - 14 Bolt ??

That's why I have to look at the whole system. I'm not just throwing discs in with a stock prop valve and Mc. I'm going to match the whole system.

    ?? 10 Bolt - 12 Bolt - 14 Bolt ??

Yes, and no. The discs are a lot lighter, eliminating rotating mass is never bad. My bigger concern would be larger rotors and dual piston calipers at the rear, and smaller single piston calipers at the rear. I haven't really dug into the whole system yet. First thing is getting the knuckles...

    ?? 10 Bolt - 12 Bolt - 14 Bolt ??

I've got a 9.5 from a C2500, and an 8.5 from an 01 Tahoe. I'm thinking about putting the discs from the 8.5 on the 9.5... The thing that bothers me is the bigger brakes on the rear then. I may try to retrofit the knuckles from the Tahoe to my C1500. Have to get the Tahoe torn apart so that I...

How much backspacing with 20x9s? Clearance issues?

Hey guys, picking up a 92 C1500 in the next couple weeks, and I'm wanting to static drop it, either 2/4 or 4/6. How much backspacing can I run and still keep the tires just inside the fender lip, and not too sunken in? Iirc the wheels are around 6" BS. Tires will be 255 45 20s.
