    Oil Question

Rotella produces some of the best oil out there. I've run Rotella in gas engines for almost 4 decades...it will be fine.

    1994 K1500 ECSB "The G Wagon"

Drive the hell out of it...don't save it for the next guy. 350s are "cheap" to rebuild and you can get ALL of the maintenance parts. My DD Tundra has over 235k on it.

    Oil Question

10w30 isn't heavier per say...its a touch heavier when cold, but once the engine is up to operating temp, no difference. Synthetic blend is everywhere if you're worried about running full synthetic. I run Rotella T6 full synthetic 5w40 in my Vortec 7.4L. When I was daily driving it, it liked...

Flipside.. NICE 1999 C2500 7.4 Suburban Houston TX

You can fix both of those issues....just saying! I'd prefer cloth myself, but settled for the leather in my rig because it was so clean and it only had 88k on when I bought it with the 5.0 injectors done already.

Flipside.. NICE 1999 C2500 7.4 Suburban Houston TX

Richard, that one is pretty clean...grey interior is an immediate no for me however. That $12k number is, as much as I hate to admit it, the going rate for a lower mileage Vortec 454 rust free 'burb. Mine only has 125k and it would take a hell of a lot more money than that to pry it out of my...

96 GMC K2500 Suburban Restoration (with a couple of mods)

If you want to see what they look like without the flares, just look at two-wheel drive rigs. The reality of it is, if you keep your rig clean and washed especially in the winter time you shouldn't have any issues. In my opinion, removing the flares from your Suburban will kill the look.

    Dynomax universal ultra flow 17519

17233 would be my recommendation. Depends on how loud you want it, and if you want to run dual exits off of the muffler? The 17233 is a 3"I/O muffler that has a 20" body. It will give you a nice low clean sound and shouldn't have any drone with the cat still in place.

    3/4 Ton of fun - ‘95 Sierra

It's still going to settle some, you need to put some miles on it. Also, the rear arch isn't cut as high as the front arch. My Suburban at stock ride height measures 36.5" F and 36.75" at the rear and it has waaaayyyy more rake than a .25".

96 GMC K2500 Suburban Restoration (with a couple of mods)

My comment was more directed at researching (youtube, tech manual, etc) the repairs themselves. I've come home with vehicles that were not what I thought when I bought them, that's unfortunately the gamble we all take. This one about got me in a fist fight with a general manager of a high...

96 GMC K2500 Suburban Restoration (with a couple of mods)

If you list it and buy different, you get to start the process over again. Guys like Smokey Yunick didn't even have any formal training, and he did work for the BIG 3. We all have to start somewhere, I thought I was mechanic in high school...I wasn't. It didn't happen overnight, but over time...

    New tire Dilemma

Another vote for the Yokohama Geolander G015. I'm on my 3rd set with different vehicles. Best overall A/T I've found for quiet on the highway and great in the snow/ice/rain. Everytime I've strayed, I've been disappointed. Cooper has a new one with RWL that might fit the bill. I can't stand...

Decided to build a garage. Now the fun begins.

I have stains because I get lazy and don't wipe stuff up right away. The Ghostshield product actually beads up oil (and even brake parts cleaner), but if you let it sit for 24hrs it still is able to penetrate into the cement. I wanted a sealer because it makes washing out the shop much easier...

Decided to build a garage. Now the fun begins.

I'm familiar with the loader and tractor (Former JD equipment sales and Parts Manager here). What I'm suggesting is buying an adapter to be able to use the attachments from a skid steer. The skid steer quicktatch is becoming universal. My 3515H Branson utilizes it on their loader platform, as...

Decided to build a garage. Now the fun begins.

I'll second this, and when you buy a loader, find something that has a skid-steer type quicktatch system, it will make your life much easier with the availability of attachments for the loader. In regards to the floor. Do you want something pretty, or do you want something you can...
