I painted my cap with rustoleum! Believe it or not, I found an identical cap to mine, different color, for $80 locally, if I really wanted another one :)

    Traded my cap for...

I was trolling craigslist for a tonneau for my stepside and I was debating buying a soft cover, since i have always liked having a soft tonneau and a cap, one for summer and one for winter... BUT I wanted to put my Razorback on the truck again, and, I found a local guy with a hard tonneau, and...

    Fender flares on stepside

I was curious if anyone has tried or has succesfully installed factory flares on their stepside bed. I want to put flares, but don't want to spend $300+ on special ones. Wonder if I can use factory ones- I plan to take the side moulding off my bed and doors etc, and I want to bedline over the...

    What have you towed lately

I hauled a trailer full of wood yesterday- the truck fealt it, but towed it well. Stopping can be a bit sketchy though- This is about as much as I ever haul with the truck. I was a bit saddened though after I got home, my truck keeps popping the parking lamp fuse. I don't know what shorted out...

awesome reply! I will look into better bulbs and that hack on the flasher is awesome. IMO they flasher won't work because its Siemens, and I work for Honeywell. LOL Bad blood lol JK BTW will that flasher fix also fix the rapid flash on switchback bulbs?

What the heck is this called? And what's its purpose in life?

I have the racerback for my truck. They are 100% fiberglass. I have seen some with lights mounted to them, they are OK for maybe like 5-7lbs (4 or 5 lights) but I would not go much more than that. That one in the picture will probably hold less weight because it is not attached to the roof- My...

Anyone have any good luck with aftermarket LED directional bulbs?

So I have been trying to change out my front and rear directionals/stop/turn/tail bulbs with LED's and I had done a lot of looking online- Having previously buying some I was very disappointed in, I bought some rears that I thought looked a lot better, and since there were two one each side in...

    Blinker Problems

The hazards and blinkers use separate flasher modules- I bet your thermal flasher is kaput- its on the fuse block usually, but I know it's somewhere under the dash as I can hear min "tick" when my lights blink.

    Reverse lights dont work.

it could be that the bulbs aren't seated correctly or if you put LED's in, they may be in backwards. I also had an issue where I pulled my bulbs to check them, and when I put the back in they didn't work- the old bulb grease was frozen solid and clogged the socket so bad I could not put the bulb...

Need some help...blew new a speaker

If you have the factory tweeters hooked up with an aftermarket speaker and aftermarket head unit, that will hurt too- both the headunit and the speakers. When you put speakers in series you add impedence to the system which draws more power, and when you add them in parallel in halfs the...

    Fuel Lines

He has Vortec motor- Rubber hose probably is not a good idea at all- fuel pressures are something like 50-75 psi as I recall. I have a TBI and I put rubber lines in mine- I have done it in a couple other TBI's and ran them a long time with no (visible) ill effects.
