    choice spark plugs

I always used normal Champion plugs in my 90 Sierra 5.7l. I never had a problem. All of those fancy plugs will just lighten your wallet.

I had this in my 90 Sierra 5.7l about a year ago. Turns out the distributor cap was bad.

Washer Fluid Pump - Cutting out

Yes just the passenger side. Driver's side still works great. I checked the hose and nozzle and all are clear. That's why I figured the circuit board. But then again I did nickname this truck "Christine". Lol

Washer Fluid Pump - Cutting out

The passenger side on my 90 Sierra stopped working several years ago. I'm sure it was the circuit board but I've just never got around to fixing it. Nozzle isn't clogged.

94 K1500 check engine light no codes

O2 sensor? My 90 started setting the CEL years ago only at highway speeds and only after about 5 minutes on the highway. I changed out the O2 sensor and the EGR valve. Problem solved. I noticed the O2 sensor was not listed in the parts you have changed.

Hesitation at low to mid rpms, and voltage drop from a/c compressor

How old is the battery and alternator? Have you had them tested? Also check and make sure there isn't any corrosion on the battery cables themselves. Even under the sleeves. My 90 Sierra 5.7l did the same when the cables were corroded under the sleeves. Replaced cables and problem solved.

    Cruise Control Issues

Change the sensor I am not an expert on this one but I am pretty sure that would affect the cruise control.

    Engine ticking noise finally fixed

Duralast is what I used last time. They were great wires and I got 10 years out of them.

    Engine ticking noise finally fixed

I know I just put A/C Delco wires on my 90 Sierra with 5.7l. Never again. I had a hell of a time getting those wires onto the plugs and dist cap. Never had this issue with other brands. I am surprised I didn't break a plug doing it.

AC/Smog pump delete question. Need help!

Now I need to go look at my truck. I have never seen one of those on my 90 Sierra. I am in Texas and I don't need to have an emissions test either since my truck is over 25 years old.

AC/Smog pump delete question. Need help!

I don't want to sound stupid but I'm really not sure what the smog pump looks like. Maybe someone else here can answer that question for you.

AC/Smog pump delete question. Need help!

I know the auto parts stores sell a shorter belt if you don't want to go the A/C bypass pulley route. So the choice is yours. I personally put the bypass pulley on mine.

    1991 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4x4 5.7

In addition to the firing order check and make sure that the wires are securely snapped onto the plugs. I recently bought a set of AC Delco wires and I had a hell of a time getting them to snap onto the plugs as well as the distributor. I had to use much more force than I have with house brands...

    Odd starting problem

Check the battery cables. Make sure they are attached to the battery securely. I always have a problem with my negative cable screwing into the battery properly. I hate side post batteries. Also check and see if the cables are corroded. Not just the ends but check a bit under the rubber on the...

AC Delco Plug Wires Will Not Stay On

I have an oil pan too and I just do my oil changes at my brother's house. But if we get caught here even with the hood up we get a $25 fine. Yesterday (being Sunday) I checked my plug wires again. I found the wires to plugs 7 and 8 were not on all the way. It was a ***** to push them on but I...

AC Delco Plug Wires Will Not Stay On

I'm going to work on the truck tomorrow. I live in an apt complex and we are not allowed to work on our vehicles here. But the office is closed tomorrow :) If I can't get them to stay on I will just buy the Autozone brand. My last set from AZ lasted me over 70K miles and the truck ran great. Not...

AC Delco Plug Wires Will Not Stay On

Sorry I have been out of town. I ordered them from Rock Auto and they stated right on the ordering page they are for my 90 GMC 5.7l. It's possible they screwed up but it would be the first time they ever did. This is the second set of AC Delcos in the past 15 years that I've had problems with...

idles/runs super rough, no power.. fuel pump?

My bet is on the distributor cap. My 90 was running great one day and the next it would fall flat on it's face. A new cap fixed the issue. The dist caps in these trucks are known to corrode. One day the truck runs fine and the next it doesn't.

AC Delco Plug Wires Will Not Stay On

Ok thanks. Maybe I'm just not pushing down hard enough. But I swear I'm going to break something. I think I'll stick with the Autozone wires next time. Thanks for the reply.

AC Delco Plug Wires Will Not Stay On

Guys what is the trick to getting a set of AC Delco plug wires to stay on the distributor? I bought a set for my 90 GMC Sierra 5.7l a few years ago. I had the same issue. I push and push to get the wires onto the dist but they just will not click on or stay on. I took them back and bought a set...

    CEL triggers only while cruising

For what it's worth my 90 Sierra 5.7l would set a CEL only at highway speeds after about 5 minutes. I changed the O2 sensor as well as the EGR valve and I haven't had the problem happen in over 5 years.
