    I’ve got a turbo 400 that I could put in it, but with the 4.10 gear I already have I don’t want that. When I say street strip I mean 90% street, 10% for run Footbrake class at the local drag strip.

    But if I don’t care about the lock up then I wouldn’t have to do anything with it. Honestly the tbi is temporary. Once I get the transmission swapped it will become more of a street/strip type of build.

    5.7 TBI 5-speed stumbles when I let off gas

    I had a similar problem with my 91 5.7 5 speed. It would do it real bad in parking lots and drive thrus and places like that. All I did was removed the vacuum tube running to the egr valve and capped it at the source. Solved it completely.

    Well I fixed the problem. Started trouble shooting and took the vacuum line off the edge valve and it totally fixed it. So for right now just going to leave it unplugged. I capped it at the source and have no CEL so I'm just gonna drive it.

    It's been doing it since I got the truck. Before I changed the distributor it would do it if you just revved it up to about 1500. Since the distributor swap that went away but the stumble Is still there. If fuel pressure was off wouldn't it show itself at wide open throttle as well?
