    Just an update... I was able to remove both lines without too much trouble. The line that was leaking did break in the leaking section as I was removing it because it was so weak. I plan to take the lines to a custom place and have make new ones to match the originals (Tubes N' Hoses franchise).

    Also, do I need to shim the new starter? It was a real bear to get it to wedge into place. So I’m guessing there’s not much room to shim anyway, as it really pressed up tight against the bell housing.
