I didn't remove my harness from the truck. It was already routed pretty much how I liked it. Just layed it out over the engine and cut and spliced in what I needed. If your talking about the two connectors on the neutral safety switch; use a heat gun to warm them up. There's a silicone type grease or something in there that hardens over time. Use gloves and get it pretty hot and you should be able to wiggle it out. I've always done them this way with 100% success! That firewall connector is a PITA! One reason I didn't remove my harness. I've never gotten a straight answer on how to remove it!
Glad I know I'm not crazy. That is done good info tho. I will use my heat gun and set the transmission free

Well the 315's ain't working and I ain't hacking my truck up for some half worn out tires! Truck currently has 275/70/16's on it. My Burb has 285/70/17's on it. So here's the plan! Put the Burb tires on the Hummer wheels. Put the tires on the truck on the factory wheels for the Burb! Sell these huge ass BFG's or maybe trade them to my tire guy for all this tire swapping! Anyway couldn't even turn the wheel a full turn! The pic is of me jacking it up to see how far it would take to clear. Tire came off the ground still wouldn't clear!

Im guessing it's the h2 wheels being 8.5 wide that's causing the issues. I can clear 315s on my stocks no problem.

Hey mate. We have the same tyre size. I have mine on 17x10 rims -44 offset (dunno what backspacing measure is as we don't use that down here), 6" suspension and I had to go 3 in the body to clear without cutting anything.

Originally I had 32x11.5x15 on a similar to stock rim which cleared fine. Front rim was a 15x8 and rear was a 15x10. No lifts installed.

You may get 33" on but it will depend what offset rim you go with. If stock, choices are limited.

There was another member on here with an ECSB K2500 and he managed 315s on 2.5 in. crank and a little trimming.
But I understand not wanting to slice and dice, I still need to clean up my inner fender lips from the first time I trimmed, and I need to notch the bumpers for a little extra clearance.

Just gonna go with the 285/70/17. I gotta admit the 315's looked kinda goofy to me with the truck only cranked 2.5". They are freakin huge! I just don't wanna lift too much right now. I use this truck frequently for pulling and family adventures. It's just wouldn't be practical. Putting a child in a car seat ina truck 3ft off the ground is a pain! I've done it before but I sold that heap. One day if I get another tow pig I'll go with the 6" lift!
