The only wires i spliced into was the tach wire, speedo signal, temp gauge signal, and fuel pump relay trigger. I re used the oil pressure sender from the v6 on the ls engine so that wiring didnt change.

The headers do not hang below the frame at all, but the oil pan does. I still need to change it out for a slim pan one day.

That's a relief. I wanted to make sure and there wasn't many pics of it. Oil pan will be easy though. Swap looks great tho. Thanks for the help.

How's the rear end holding up to the abuse?

Nice! I've got a 98 4.3/NV3500 waiting to go under the LS knife and I gotta ask...How do you like the NV3500 behind the 5.3? My heart says go with a T56...just cause, but I then consider keeping the NV...
My bank account said to stay with the nv3500.

Its alright though, 1st gear is a little short and it doesnt enjoy to be power shifted much. I can get 27mpg on the highway with it.

Mine is holding up fine. I put new axles in when i put the eaton trutrac in so, just because the truck had close to 300k on it.

I was thinking of swapping my rear end but finding axles to work with the explorer rear end that keep me at 5*127 is becoming a daunting task

I hear you there...I'm in LOVE with the LS...want to LS mine so bad, but I can buy a LT1/T56 Camaro for cheap.. My wallet says...go with the old school SBC/T56 swap...little to no headaches all around.

Well compared to the v6, the powerband is everywhere lol. I really dont have a good answer for you...depends how you set it up. I did loose a smidge in the low end after my cam swap, but felt like I gained worlds up top.
