96 k1500 4x4 6 lug, going with a 14 bolt rear 8 lug axle outback.... to match up front without going straight axle up front, is there a way to use 3/4 ton 8 lug hubs on 1/2 knuckles? or do I need 3/4 knuckles? . then the c/v axles are bigger I thought. that would be an issues... o what is out there?

This topic has been discussed 1000 times over,

3/4 ton front end components will NOT fit 1/2 ton, only way to match up 8-lug on front is either adapters or the more pain-staking route of a Solid Axle.

There is no easy way, unless you intend on 'clipping' the front frame section below the cab.

well I got the burbon for 500.00 im thinking just a mild lift with the 9.5 14 bolt rear instead at this point, I have rebuilt way too many 8.5's due to being used as a truck should be in my lifetime...

Best way to get 8 lug hubs is to get a 3/4 ton burb.

Reasoning: no matter what you do to a 1/2 ton, it will still have X GWVR.

You could have 3 foot deep I beam for a frame, however Johhny Law will still say it's capable of X load, based on the sticker on the door.

If you must have 8 lug wheels, the best option is to completely swap the frame out for a 3/4 ton frame.

ive never used gmt400 8 lug knuckels, but you can swap nbs 3/4 knuckles on a gmt400 using the same method as described in the nbs disc front swap thread. anything 8 lug is going to be a 4 bolt flange for GM and 6 lug is 3 bolt.
