ya he was fine wasnt going to fast, however he was going fast enough to hurt the truck. He was driving a standard with an air cast on his foot so it had disaster all over it. I tried pulling him out but counldt move it had to go back to town and get buddy with a tow truck.I ended up blowing a tire on the way out so it was a bad day for chevys

It wasn't off road, and it may not look like much, but the u-joint at the rear axle made an exit at 65mph, taking the rear driveshaft and transfer case with it on the way out...
I had just got the truck running after a summer-long engine swap. If that doesn't ruin your day, waiting two hours on the interstate for a family member to come tow you off the road because a tow truck wouldn't show up--or having to waste an entire day of college trailering it home--certainly might.

Heres a pic of my 86 k10 I had in highschool,It had 89k original miles,305/4speed,all original..I was pulling out of a hay field with a wagon loaded 5 high, while I was halfway out of the field I heard a loud snap and started rolling backwards so I knew I trashed my rear end..unhooked the wagon and threw it in 4hi to pull it back to the house,as soon as I turned into my drive the wheel and entire axle shaft came sliding out and bounced into the yard lol..it was a sad day, especially since it was 2 days away from getting a 6in lift,35s,and new axles..sold it with all the parts for 1200 and I kick myself in the ass for it daily

So you sold the truck because it blew the rear end even though you had new axles going into it anyways?
