So I am ready to put in a new 383 engine into my 99 tahoe. I was going to have one built but now I think I will just buy the gm 383 full short block. Awhile ago I bought the complete ramjet intake with fuel rails injectors and throttle body. I also have some nice vortec heads. Along with this I wanted to do the EFI connections 24x conversion. So I have all of that ready to go as well.

Now I am having mechanic tell me that it will be too difficult and expensive to run that intake and the 24x system to run right. Am I missing something? I thought that with the PCM 0411 that tuning wouldn't be that hard. I have been running this computer fine for two years already. So now I don't know what to do. Do I just abandon everything and sell off all my nice new parts or do I try and find somebody that can do this hoping this doesn't turn into a $8000 nightmare.

Your mechanic doesn't want to do it. Nothing wrong with your plans.

That's the impression I got as well. This place is the best for European cars. Everything is fixed correctly the fist time and their rates are excellent. I causally mentioned to one of the owners what I was doing with the truck and they seemed interested, but now not so much.

Now to either sell what I have or find somebody willing and able in the Dayton/Cincinnati area.
