Okay someone help me out here, ordered some 2357 switchback leds for the front turn signals, my truck is a 95 and someone told me what flasher to buy which was a 4 prong flasher when mine is a 3 prong. Now my problem is is there is no metal contact where the flasher plugs into the truck for that 4th prong which makes me unsure on the flasher. Idk what voltage and specifics it needs which is my worry

heres some pics, i need to find out what flasher i FOR SURE need that will work for the leds to exclude hyperflash

The EP29 flasher is digital & works on 'time' as opposed to 'load'.
Ever notice that with a stock flasher will develop hyper-flash when a bulb somewhere in the loop burns out? Kind of a fail-safe indicator of a burnt bulb. There is less load (resistance) so... hyper-flash. The EP29 will not do that being digital.
LED's offer less resistance. The stock flasher reads that as a burnt bulb.
As far as that 4th prong? Mine has that too. No clue as to why but I just plugged it in & it worked.
No experience with the switchbacks, but there was a posting on here a while ago that mentioned having to use the EP29, along with the inline resistors in order to be able to make the switchbacks work properly. IIRC it may have been Michael Hurd that posted that info. Could be wrong on that, though.

I was the one that had to add the resistors back in to make switchbacks work correctly (with LED corner lamp too) in my '94; I've got a slightly different setup - V-LED's old style switchbacks, not that weird Triton thing they sell now, and a hacked stock flasher - hacked with the trace cut that disables the "bulb out" hyperflash. It was an evolution of lighting -

1. LED's in back = hyperflash, add resistors
2. Hack flasher, no more hyperflash, remove resistors
3. Later added switchbacks in front = didn't work right, add resistors back in

I think his big issue right now is that particular flasher he bought doesn't fit his '95.

Exactly, someone told me to get the 4 prong, i got it then i went and bought a ep28 flasher someone else told me to get, the ep28 specifically says compatible with LEDS well ive tried plugging both in and neither stop the hyperflash, the LED switchbacks light up and work right its just got the hyperflash.

Im at a confusion standstill, i tried the ep28 bc its a 3 prong like my OEM flasher= didnt stop hyper flash,
Tried the ep29 which is 4 prong and it doesnt stop hyperflash
stock one obviously doesnt stop hyperflash.

only thing under hood is a 50 amp lighting fuse and a brake lamp relay, under the dash is the hazard flasher relay.

Like Richard said above, you may need load resistors on the switchback bulbs to make them work properly even with the new flasher. I've read posts from some people who say they work fine without, others need them.

That's weird, I had an LED flasher from superbrightleds.com for 5 years in my Tahoe I just sold. Maybe I shouldn't have let it go with! It was the same part number and it was a 4 pin relay. All it said on it was EP29L LED FLASHER TAIWAN. Made of black plastic and had a brown silicon wafer board on the bottom. The only weird part was in very cold weather it would make the signal clicking noises (abnormally timed) when it was off. Worked great though. I'll see if I can find a picture of what it looked like. Also, to try something simple, you can try to go to your local parts store, Novita supposedly makes one. Made in the USA, too! :)

I switched to LEDs front and rear and found similar issuse with various flashers especially as the outdoor temperature dropped. I wound up using a load resistor on each side, that made the difference and they work consistently now.

did you wire in the resistor before the wires split off to each bulb and it worked or howd you do it?

Video^^

Thanks to the help from my dad despite my frustration, got the right flasher in the right location so my LED Switchbacks would work in my turn signals! The camera doesn't show the colors very accurately but they light up white (no blueish tint) and switch to amber when the signals are activated! After finding the right flasher and location to install it I got away with not having to use any spliced in resistors.
The turn signal flasher on my 95 was up under the middle of the dash which was a pita to get to, after getting it we swapped the EP36 for the TURN SIGNAL relay/flasher
I also put in the EP28 Hazard flasher as well, probably didn't need to but I had it.
