Maintance - High mileage preventative maintence?

If you're talking about the quick connect, that's not odd at all, but very common for them to go bad. There's no reason to install a new intake.....unless you totally screw up the threads trying to remove the old fitting. I've had a standard brass hose barb on mine for years now.

Sorry to jump in here but would the 5.7 litre TBI in my 94 have oil cooler lines?

Should be my 95 has them just look down in the engine compartment youll see them coming out of the radiator and going under the engine

see my old fitting broke off and we couldnt see any threads, let alone know there were any threads, we thought it was all one piece

Mine had 365xxx on it when i got it an ran fine. But with my lead foot blew it up so i just put 1 with 90xxx in it. But yeah so far thats the only problem i have had. Lost all oil pressure in it. Now some how i got a cracked radiator idk how but it is lol this truck is becoming a money pit but i love it so ill deal with it
