Just note that most of these options only work for the C1500. Most of these options, except for the body lift and spacers, will not work on the C2500 and C3500.

Nice job writing a thorough guide though!

Fabtech makes a 4.5" spindle lift for c2500/c3500

Haha yea no thanks, for me to install that lift I would have to spend a $1000 on the lift, not to mention I'd have to upgrade wheels....because stock wheels don't fit, so that's another $500-1000. Oh and don't forget a new set of tires... Another $800-1200.

Haha that's about how much I paid for my entire truck last year :)

No different cost than lifting a 4x4...

True, but the entire purpose of lifting the vehicle is to make it more capable off road. A 2WD is never going to be as capable off road as a 4WD....so why spend $2500 doing it? See what I'm saying?

That's why I spent only $200 on a body lift, I just did it for the looks. No point in spending more when the truck is unable to ever be a serious off roader. For the same reason I would never dump $1000 on a supercharger for my wife's Saturn....what's the point?

A 2wd with a Locker in the rear is just as good as a 4x4 with an open diff.

I didn't Intend for this thread to be a 4x4 vs 2wd thread, please take it somewhere else. It's our trucks, we will do as we please.

EDIT: that sounded *******, but honestly, I want this thread to be for Info, haha. My truck suits me and my needs, I don't do hardcore wheeling, just lots of trail driving to get to my hunting spots, I wanted the height to get through some spots that I could t last year.

Sorry didn't mean to thread jack. And I never said 2WDs were useless, I own one. I personally have no use for a 4WD truck so I'm perfectly happy with my 2WD work truck.

Not trying to bash 2WDs in any way, I just don't understand the point of spending a couple thousand dollars to lift one, that's all. Just my opinion.

...by the way...All my posts are refering to lifting a HD 2WD....I have no idea about if the costs are lower with a 1500
