JBA, Gibson, Hedman, and Hooker are about the best you're going to find; JBA and Gibson are pretty top shelf from what I've seen. @Mangonesailor and @Papablunt, and a couple others have Gibsons and they look damn good albeit a bit pricy; I have a set of 2nd hand JBAs I got from @Justin S I'm in the process of restoring to put on my truck.

What in particular are you thinking? Long tubes or shorties?

I know this thread is a little old but I thought I would spark it back up.
I have a

What's the recommendation for headers
What did you end up going with?

I have a 1997 K3500 dually 4x4 with only 65k miles. I am just now getting into doing some mods I want and I want to do long tube headers but I keep finding mixed reviews if there is room or not, if they are actually still produced or not, etc....

If I can't find long tube are upgrade shortys worth the money? I am not going crazy with it, but I do plan to get a black bear traditional tune once I am done.

Given the costs involved, MOST folks would be better-off keeping the iron manifolds but adding low-restriction catalysts and a decent after-cat exhaust system.

The original equipment muffler is a disaster for flow and power.

Hey Schurkey, Eurocopter here.. I'm reading about exhaust systems. I would like a more free flowing exhaust and pick up whatever torque advantage it may offer. I think (from watching exhaust videos) I want low restriction cats, all new O2 sensors, 3 inch pipes, an H-pipe and Borla dual mufflers with duals out the back. What do you think?
Note: 1997 Chevrolet K2500 Suburban 454, 4l80E and 117k original miles.
