So I've owned the Suburban for a few weeks now and I'm really liking it so far. This is my 2nd GMT-400, I previously owned a mint 94 C1500 ecsb.

So far I've put a new set of Goodyear Wrangler Kevlar 245/75r17 tires all the way around (wheels are from a newer model police package Tahoe). I fixed leaks in the AC system, replaced blower motor and resistor, cleaned evap, blocked off rear AC, and recharged the system with fresh 134 (blowing ice cubes now). Removed old tint from front windows.

The previous owner had lifted it with 3" blocks in the rear, and cranked torsion bars to the max in the front. The A-arms were touching the frame. So I lowered the front down about 1.5" to give the suspension a little room to work. It rides MUCH better now and the steering is tighter with less play in the steering wheel. I like the stance now. I've never been a fan of the "squat" look on trucks.

Still on the to do list: fresh paint job in factory Emerald Green. Replace bumpers and grill with factory chrome units. Replace headliner and reupholster seats. etc etc.
