I uses purple power in my ultrasonic and mineral spirits in the ASNU flow bench. If the pressure is stable the temperature is reasonable the mineral spirits is very accurate for getting flow numbers. I use it on the LS injectors.
Then when done I use FIC injector juice to flush them

How often can you use fuel injector cleaners. I hear every oil change, 3-5k miles, would be be more destructive then beneficial if you use it every 2-3 fuel fill ups? Or every fill up for that matter?

What are you hoping to gain? Different products will mean different interval of usage.

I read somewhere that gm issued a notice a long time ago about using fuel injector cleaners for our OBS trucks because of the idiotic design . Just preventive maintenance because the injectors tend to get clogged and fail for spider injectors. In my Haynes Manuel it says to replace the fuel filter every 3k. So I been doing that. Regular oil change intervals and so on. Just trying to maximize preventative maintenance . I been using a lot of fuel injector cleaners every couple fill ups just wondering if that's to much. Im looking into bg 44k heard some good reviews might try that out .

The only cleaners that are really aggressive are the ones the dealer uses. They usually replace a fuel source though.

BG 44K is that stuff (one of them, anyway) - though as a DIY'er the best you can do is put it in your tank. They do have a device you fill up with it and hook it to your fuel rail so it gets a concentrated dose of cleaner right into the injectors, but obviously that's something more suited for a shop doing this type of service all the time.

For a "pour it in the tank" product though, their 44K is really good stuff. It can be a little tricky to find locally. Used to get it at Carquest all the time before Advance bought them out. You can order it through amazon these days, of course.

Good to know, that apparatus is exactly what I was thinking of. Once it's in the tank, it's way less aggressive though. I can find that line of products at my local Napa. I've used their diff additive in the past and it kept the chatter away while maintaining the posi function.

Replace the fuel filter every 3000 miles?! What in the heck?!

You should buy stock in whatever company's fuel filters you're using.
