What was the part number on the socket ?(if there is one)

On the abs, there's a rubber cap on the top side, pop that off an there's a pin there that you can push in an "reset". Then push an hold it an have someone slowly push the pedal. That will help "bleed" the unit. After you get them decent you still might want to go make the abs activate then bleed again.

I have a venturi bleeder so you can do it by yourself too. It works pretty dang good....

I’ll give that a shot and see, usually I just bleed them, then lock up the brakes while driving on grass to activate the ABS motor, and then bleed again.

Here’s the socket I bought, I highly recommend it, it beats guessing if the nut is getting tight enough with a screwdriver and a hammer

After work yesterday, I pulled the cover off of the diff so I can JB Weld the magnet back inside of the case, for piece of mind if anything. I've let it cure since then, hopefully I can re-install the cover and fill it back up today after work.

Looks nice an clean in there at least
Yessir, it's the second time I've been in there since I got it. The first time was before I installed the rear end in my truck, I don't know why I thought it was too much trouble to go buy some JB Weld to secure the magnet then, but it not being in there has been in the back of my mind since lol

Got everything back together and got the brakes bled, so it’s once again roadworthy.

Little tidbit of advice, make sure your differential vent hose isn’t clogged, or in my case, kinked. Apparently when I installed the rear end, I routed the vent hose wrong and discovered today that it was kinked. Excessive pressure build up is a death wish for wheel seals.

Next dreaded project is resealing the hydroboost

Doing the hydroboost isn’t all that bad, just make sure to keep everything surgically clean. I’ve done about a dozen now. Mostly in my duramax trucks…. But seriously, it isn’t bad. Just take your time

I’ve always heard it said that “There’s always that one guy in the neighborhood, if you don’t know who it is, then it’s you”

Don’t use sketchy containers to hold used oil…. Lol
