It’s crazy how many are still on the road down there. Just a testament to their reliability when rust isn’t a factor.
I see at least 10-12 on a daily basis just driving around here locally. I'm trying to help my brother find a 96-2000 K2500 for him to bring up to Iowa since most everything he finds that's "rust free" is missing rockers or the floors are about done.
I know I keep my truck cleaned and undercoated religiously, I take my cab plugs out at least once a year and try to wipe down the inside of the rocker panels before I fog it with WD40 or some other rust prevention spray.

Wouldn't a Suburban be an easier route to extra seating? Weatherproof too!
I'd say 4, 7ft wood doors would pretty much cash the seating out. Plus you got a be careful of the head liner. I almost bought a burb instead of that truck, it had the 8.1, but I figured a pickup would suit my use better, and it was cheaper.

Went to a local hot rod meet, and a nice onlooker got a pic of my truck leaving, never had a rolling shot, so thought I'd share...

Sweeeet! I love the teal on these trucks, my favorite color besides gold and black.
