New here so don't flame me too hard haha. I have a 97' gmc K1500, recently I decided to get the A/C working in my truck as it did not work when I purchased the truck. Found the compressor to be leaking so I went ahead and replaced the compressor and the accumulator drier. Charged the system and hit the A/C button aaaand... the A/C clutch would not engage unless I jumped the relay... Rats, so I checked for power on high and low side pressure switch. I have 13 volts on high pressure switch whether the button is pressed or not, low pressure switch has 12 volts. Removed high pressure switch and checked the ohms on it and the switch is open I do not know if it should be normally open or closed. Not sure if that could be causing the issue, I did a little bit of digging on the internet and found a mention of the CCM having a broken trace on it, so that even though the A/C button was pressed it wouldn't signal to engage the clutch. I removed the CCM and found the broken trace on it. Replaced the CCM with one that was in better shape (old CCM broke as I went to remove it due to brittle old plastic haha...) even after replacing the CCM still no dice, clutch still will not engage. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem could be?

Try jumping the low pressure switch and see it the compressor clutch will engage. Throw you gauge set on and see what the pressures are.

Jumper low pressure switch, no clutch engagement. Threw my gauges on it, with the relay jumped my pressures were Low: 31 High: 175
