Factory Engine color?

I like the orange they used from about 62 or 63 to about 76 77 when they changed to corporate blue if I read right the early engine 50s were a more red-ish orange. if I was building a high performance engine I would paint it orange or the red-ish orange. if I was building a stock-mild engine I would paint it corporate blue. I think black is too boring

There ain't nothin' boring about this black one, it's what's inside (or on top) that counts :driver:;)

that is a very nice engine you got there and I must agree with you that the inside is what really counts. to clear-up the statement in my last post when I called the black blocks boring I was referring to the old days way before my time when all the manufactures were painting their block different colors and then they went black

I kinda like black - looks no-nonsense business like. Coloured blocks remind me of tractors.
