I got that corner dealt with.

Will get some epoxy primer tomorrow. Have some seam sealer in the mail too. Then I can finish treating this and get the interior all reinstalled.

Next up I installed the harness for the plow. Took a bit of time as I wanted to hide it the best I could.

There you can see the solenoid behind the battery. It occupied space previously taken up by a resonator box. I buzzed that off, now on the hunt for a 1.5" cap of some sort.

I ran the headlight harness and the solenoid harness across here instead of under the hood.

That'll be hidden when this thing has 2 batteries.

Just those 3 plugs. After the interior is in my focus will shift to the frame.

If you guys are wondering how much longer I'll drag this floor repair out, my answer is this:

I did swing by the local
paint store today and got some primer.

$50 out the door, cheaper than online. Thinking I'll just brush this on, no need to get over spray all over the place. I also wiped the floor down with some acetone.

And I have 3 little spots soaking in Rust Mort again. Figure it's been this long, no reason not to try and get the rest down the way I did with the floor I cut out. Given enough time this stuff will eat every last morsel of rust. I have a tube of $10 AC Delco seam sealer arriving tomorrow and I'm curious if it's gonna be the consistency of caulk or something that's a little thicker than paint? Or could it go either way?

Just found a not wrecked frame in Nebraska. That back part wasn't rotten, hoping the rest is just as clean. I had to sift through the wrong wheelbase section on car-part.com to find it. Gonna be a week or so until I have more info.
Awesome news!

Nice! Frame swap is the best option, I'm glad you found one!

How are you planning on lifting the cab? just wondering.

Friends with lifts = :High 5: = friends with trailers

Speaking of friends with trailers, I'll be borrowing an open deck trailer to retrieve this thing. When we leave CO though, that whole network of people disappears. I'll be buying a 20' or longer open deck trailer prior to our departure though, leaning toward 14k because it's likely to haul rented skid steers and mini excavators. Hoping we don't find ourselves in a spot where I can't swing a lift right off the bat, but the intent is to have a lift sooner than later after the move.

I never understood why everyone said "If you want X length trailer add 2 foot to it"
I bought my 10K 20 footer, and it does everything I need, but I kinda wish I would've held out for a 14K 22 footer.
But what I paid for my trailer I'd never get a deal like that again, $3400 out the door on a 2019 trailer in December of 2019. So I think I'm going to build some driver over fenders and do a few extra things to it so it'll be a bit better for what I do.

Any brand in particular you're eyeing?
