I'd love a screenshot of the 4lo stuff. I went poking around my friend's HPT and couldn't find it.
It is here. i compared my truck to an 02 Express van. the Van's shift table was full of 0's, which usually disables the use of the table. If you max out the fields (usually with 254, 10, or some insane RPM) then whatever feature is enabled, and it will stay on/engaged/whatever. you can use 254mph to disable torque converter lock in 3rd when in tow mode, assuming you have that enabled.

No tow mode here, I set it up for all around. TCC lock is set up around 70 or so WOT, I hardly ever need it but when I do there's usually a trailer attached so it works itself out. Do you have an on/off for 4wd anywhere in the system segment?

Nope. It looks like the ECU simply relies on a high signal with pin C2-16 to know if 4lo is engaged.

Which makes it that much weirder that nabbing the system segment made mine work. I just remember from an old post someone used an S10 system segment for the same reason, but I wasn't sure if the electric fan was gonna play ball with that one.

Wow, you’ve had this truck for a while. I have been reading through the thread whenever I can. Still not all the way caught up, but it’s been a good read.

I'd really like to see what "segment" swapping looks like sometime, because I'm kinda lost.
Aha, I watched a YouTube video on it. So you can copy/paste swathes of programming fields and such between tunes.

So, what one could do is simply open the old file, then select the new file in the comparator area of the toolbar, then just look to see what fields are highlighted green to see what's necessarily different between the two "tunes."

That compare bit only works when the applicable parameters are available to edit. So I did load an alternate calibration, that's step 1 of stealing a segment. Did they break it up by engine, trans, disg, system, speedo, etc?
