That's not an application I'd have expected.

Now you're breathing oil fumes?

I have run oil'd gauze filters for years and have never seen one transfer any volume of oil into the intake tract. Intake tube on my van is clean and dry, with a little trace of oil from the PCV vent tube connection in the intake hat from where the PCV vent pulls crankcase fumes into the intake at WOT/Heavy throttle.

I have seen it. The FIPK I took off my red truck had a thin film of oil inside the tube at least 6" off the base of the filter. It wasn't a lot but obviously it was enough for some to make it to the MAF.

Just looking at Y pipe options came across this

I think I remember guys using lt1 B-body Headers and ORY pipe with no clearance issues but I can't find the discussion online anymore.

The search continues...
I used one of those heads pipes on my 99 suburban. I really like it but one flange won't go over studs on manifold. Have to test fit to know what side. That flange i drilled out to 1/2 inch holes and it fit like a charm. I pit all 4 o2 sensors in but the pipe comes with plugs for them. That pipe is 2 1/4 and i bought a duel kit that feeds back into a 2 in 2 out free flow muffler. 2 1/4 in 2 1/2 out. Sounds good and woke my truck up nicely
