I've got a 1998 GMC C1500 Single Cab Long bed. I'm looking to replace my speakers as a few have blown. I've seen some information on the lower door speakers and the lower cab corner speakers. Now, my question is, are there tweeters somewhere I'm not seeing? Crutchfield says there are some on the upper part of the door but I'm not seeing them. I'm wanting to buy some component speakers to replace the old stock ones so any suggestions/advice on a good set would also be helpful.

I'm gonna take that as I don't have them because I have all manual windows n locks
Yes I think it's the Silverado door panels that have the tweeters, along with power locks and windows. My crew cab is a Silverado and it has these, as does my Burb (it's LT trim level which is leather seats, but pretty much like a Silverado otherwise).

I put some cheap Walmart speakers and tweeters in the Yukon I had. It had crossovers in each door, and with a basic Kenwood head unit, I couldn't believe how good it sounded. I'm doing the same thing to all 3 of my current vehicles when I get a chance. If you truck doesn't have the tweeters, just a matter of finding a spot n mounting it. I mounted it on the door handle trim....
