Acdelco 15-33220 is 19mm inlet
Acdelco 15-5372 is 16mm inlet
I have no idea how much that matters.
Looking at original Quick Disconnect, it might be a bit larger than 15-33220 but it has cross piece that I guess would make it a hair smaller.

I can tell you the factory vans use a non restricted hose barb and luckily never had the garbage quick connect.
So looking in the factory part, it didn’t have this restriction?

No sir it was roughly 1/2" straight through on my 97 van.
That’s funny, it does show fitment for either the 16mm or 19mm fitting for the vans. Same thing for the 2500’s.

01/02 L30/31 vans have these.
Looks similar if not the same as my 97 and the 99 I parted out. Astros and S10s use the same one too. Very few GM vehicles use a restricted fitting. The older G20 vans use a straight through fitting as well.

Even though both use 5.7 L31 R.
Front only vs front and rear heat. Some use a 5/8 hose and others 3/4 off the engine. My van uses the larger hose because the coolant flows into an aluminum hard line on the frame rail that splits the flow to the front and rear. The really odd part is the supply is 3/4, then the heater core lines are 5/8" and the return is 5/8" back to the pump.

I nominate @Reluctanse since he's the one who produced it.
used this fitting on my squarebody.... definitely has a restriction but takes 5/8" hose. installed front pass side of intake, feeds the heater core then 3/4" hose return to the rad.

Then again, a Suburban with rear heat uses the same restricted quick disconnect as my regular cab. I was just curious, that’s all. I’m sure the one I got is fine, the restriction looks about the same.
