So far on the 'Burb, china wall and diff cover, and anywhere needed on rebuilding the smart's engine. Recommended for those outwith the USA where the likes of Permatex are hard to obtain.

The right stuff. Been using it sinc3 my mgb days. Dang rubber side cover gaskets like to creep, the cork VC gaskets always leak, etc etc. No more after using it.
used it on 3 bmw VC jobs to Make sure the gasket stayed in place amd actually sealed to the head since the VC are known to warp slightly. No issue.
used it on my turbo DSM valve cover and when I converted to the debadged Hyundai valve cover On it. Never had a leak.

no issue taking it off either. It’s anaerobic sealant.

I’ll tell ya what I’ll NEVER use again, that daggum garbage that Dorman gives you with the vortec timing covers. :893Chainsaw-Smilie-
What you really wanna not use is 3M Super Weatherstrip adhesive, aka Gorilla Snot (the yellow stuff, obviously) - I know a lot of old schoolers swear by it, and I've used it a couple times wayyyyy in the past. But my favorite Gorilla Snot story is a helper at the shop I worked at as a teen put the valve covers on a Ford 390 FE on using 3M on BOTH sides of the cork gasket. Then my buddy the shop owner needed to pull the covers back off.. ended up having to wreck them with a crowbar and replace them completely. He wasn't amused. Wrong product, wrong amount, and wrong method. A couple tiny dabs here and there (on ONE side, lol) to hold the gasket in place on the cover was all it could possibly need.

ha! I remember that stuff and that method with cork gaskets. But yes, you’d wreck the gasket taking it off!
Well, a couple dabs to hold the gasket to the cover wouldn't have been hateful. Covers could come right off with no issue, gaskets stay in place on the cover, and maybe get lucky and re-use them afterwards.. (a little doubtful with cork, but hey)

Instead, this guy runs a full bead both sides of the gasket. It was like the covers were on those heads with krazy glue.
