Also, if you look at tires know for good mpg, ie low rolling resistance? That usually means softer sidewalls and a better ride.
Hankook I had on the e46 wagon amd they were nicely soft but I bit too much sidewall squirm, so when I replaced is did continetals
they squirm once amd take a set, which I could deal with. Now it’s my older kids car amd they are still doing well

Just an update, I would use a belltech rear kit. I have had to modify the djm flip to work better with the helper bags. I wouldn’t have had to do that with a belltech rear kit.
Questions about the air ride helper bags what bags did. You use.. Beacuse I already had my flip kit on and I bought air ride small air helper bags and it says it works with belltech fip but I don't have a belltech filo will there be modification that will have to be made

I used an airlift slam air helper bag kit for a 88-98 GM truck with a flip kit. Yours will work just fine. Airlift used the c notch bolt pattern as a template for there upper bag bracket so that’s why they say it works with a belltech flip kit. I used a djm notch so i had to drill my holes.

Just got done with our family cruiser.
Front is 3in djm arms with one cut coil on factory spring with djm shocks.
Rear is complete djm kit, nothing fancy. I run the djm 2100 shock on the right side and the djm 1405 on the left with shock extenders. I have helper bags and compressor for the rear so I can use it it tow my boat or car hauler.
Front tires are 225/70/15
Rear tires are 275/60/15
The rear wheels have a slightly deeper offset but all four are 7in wide.

It’s a lot lower than I expected it be which is ok, we have good roads around here in north ftw area.

If I opted for 4” leaf drop through western chassis , would that get me close to your rear drop ? I have a 99 I’m doing a drop on but I don’t wanna hack into a bolt on notch , mainly because I have rear Ac and heat which have a slew of lines ran through the chassis rails on passenger side . I don’t believe I can or wanna bend and tuck ac hard lines around a notch ?? I don’t think it will fit good if at all . I feel like if I do a flip and notch I’m gonna need to do away with my whole rear ac setup and lines just for a notch , I don’t know
So I was gonna do a 4” leaf drop and maybe additionally with a 1” drop hanger or shackle!
What would you suggest the lowest I can get with drop leafs before I need to worry at all about notching

I have rear a/c as well, it’s possible just have to be careful cutting and drilling.

4in leafs would be the max. Im lowered 7in in the rear but I also removed the overload leaf which lowered it more. Driving something this low isn’t for the faint of heart, even man hole covers can be dangerous. But it’s rides amazing, soft and smooth.

You have a Notch I assume around your rear heater and ac lines ? I don’t care about driver side gas lines that can be worked around ..
What was entailed with all the lines you had to move around and relocate for the notch on passenger side
I guess what was your entire parts list made up of ? For the rear ? To get where you are at now . I want to do a flip kit and bolt notch but the ac lines and heater lines are deterrent. I wanted to know how they re routed and shaped back over the angle of the notch for you on your suburban? Any photos ?

A belltech rear kit will work good. The lines run on top of the frame rail kinda. It’s pretty straightforward install. Best bet is to find my family cruiser thread and look through the pics. I don’t have any one this phone.
