I've made some slow progress on this over the past week and a half in short stints either late at night or in 10-20 windows until yesterday when I had the day to myself (but it rained almost all day). Gotten knuckles cleaned up, painted, new seals, new hub bolts and dust shields installed and bearing assemblies bolted on. I'll grab a picture or two later today, maybe.

Wife is working today so I've got the three kids until she gets home at bedtime tonight. We may go to town this morning and try to make some progress on reassembly this afternoon while the youngest naps. Ignore the bed head she just woke up as i was typing this out.

Trucks are fun, but it's our kids that we live for.

Been tied up with domestic duties and new flooring at the babysitter's/inlaws house but did steal some time this evening to hang a knuckle back on the passenger side. Guess its time to buy another socket, upper BJ is a 26mm and I've got duplicates of everything around it and no 26mm socket or wrench.:banghead:

Did knock out half of the first floor of flooring with my brother-in-law's help between Friday night and Saturday. Found some (likely) asbestos containing tiles and mastic below the laminate we pulled up to replace with vinyl plank. Went over the tiles and left it for a future project.

Its close to 1 1/16 but quite loose. I just ordered one for pickup tomorrow so I can, hopefully, get it back rolling on Friday since my work is closed for the day.
These trucks have such a mix of metric and imperial that I start every job by picking up my micrometer to measure the head sizes before approaching the toolbox otherwise I will spent half the day walking backwards and forwards, especially when working under the truck.

I tend to grab a rack of metric and sae for disassembly then "put away" the unused tools. Until reassembly yields new sizes and i grab the calipers to measure. I've got two larger toolboxes full of tools ranging from a surface plate, machining and measuring tools, taps and drills, to hand tools that I seem to always be missing what I need.

Most of my tools were geared towards maintaining plastic injection molds aside from hobby wrenching. Quite a bit of the machinist tools were given to me while i worked in that field.

Got everything mostly back together today. Need to throw the tires and wheels on, eyeball the alignment, and torque the control arm bolts now. And tie rod adjusters once it is eyeballed straight enough to drive to a shop for alignment.

Also plan to back the torsion bars off some to get it off the droop stops and get some ride quality back before alignment.

Got it all back together today and was gonna take it to a tire shop for alignment this afternoon. Decided instead to work around the house and get some yard work done. Maybe one day this week I'll be able to drop it off in town at a shop I like for alignment.

Took it for a short 12-15 mile shakedown and really need to address the front brakes pulling to the right. Much more noticable now and will want to slide the front right tire with firm application.

Since cleaning the slides didn't straighten it out, I'm guessing that it needs the hoses replaced and maybe the caliper pulled apart as well.

A few pictures from fully assembled state.

Primarily napa parts except lower ball joints, stabilizer links, and tie rod sleeves for convenience sake. Upper control arm came loaded and i couldn't see replacing the ball joint until its worn. Next will likely be TTX as the lower is now.
