Since I can't seem to get my confirmation email from GMT800.com, I guess I'll just start a thread here instead.

This is Alice, the Silverado 1500HD that I am buying from my Grandpa's estate. I took possession of her at about 151k, to keep her away from my mother at my Grandma's behest. Currently has 156k on her, and I'm just fixing a handful of things that are wrong with her slowly, as I can, while still prioritizing Elise.

Edit: spelling fail...

nice, always figured it would be a great comprise, 6.0L and 8600 gvw.

the "bad thing" about them, they pretty much only came in that "old man stay around brown", haha.

Does it have leather interior?
Nope. It's got a near mint LS cloth interior, with dual power buckets and center console. And I absolutely love the Pewter Metallic.

Also, I cracked open the motor to replace the valve cover gaskets recently, and it was proof of my Grandad's obsession with proper maintenance. 155k miles, never touched a single gasket before, and this is what the guts looked like. 5k mile oil changes with Havoline 10W30 conventional oil and an almost always STP filter. Still makes 35-45 psi at idle.

Pewter was always my favorite truck color.

I've got a 2000 extended cab 2wd GMT800 in pewter.
Maybe one day I'll get enough time to get it back on the road.

So about two weeks ago, I got tired of the 5 year old Gabriel Ultra shocks not working to my level of satisfaction. So I ordered in a set of Bilstein 4600s at work ($440), took off my Gabriels, turned in a couple of rental tools, and walked out of work with the set of Bilsteins for $20. Ride is 10x better than it was. Very happy with them. I have put them on everything. The Silverado, the K2500 ccsb, the Suburban, the Nissan Frontier...

So, been working on swapping the interior lights to LEDs like on all of my 400s, the Frontier, and the E-150. Buying a couple packs every paycheck, because the Sylvania ones are kinda expensive, even with my discount, and I don't wanna deal with Amazon or eBay.
