I wouldn’t want anything but distilled water and coolant infiltrating my motor. If the leak can’t be mechanically repaired, I’d just replace the part. Water always wins!

Ideally we all would. But if on the road and a repair right then and there isn't an option this product would be my (or ones) first choice given it does not harm the system whatsoever.

OP’s not broken down on side of road, so again I’d fix the problem. Mechanically.

Those types of products tend to work for a bit then leave your ass stranded in BFE @ 3am when no one is even awake to come rescue you. A tow bill is more than a radiator. put a new rad in it and not worry about if and when it's going to let loose.

Greatly depends on what is being towed.
Well, last time I checked it's by time or miles and it doesn't matter if it's a 600 lb motorcycle, a tool box, or a 5000 lb truck, the costs are the same. If you're in the woods when it craps out expect a huge bill labeled "recovery". A radiator and some antifreeze would be cheap in comparison. Better to fix it because crying poverty has the potential to cost much more later.

My last tow bill was $120 for a 20 minute ride on a rollback.

There are loads of these products. You have leak in your cooling system it needs to be repaired. There is no aftermarket substitute for a proper repair with the correct parts. Anyone who thinks so " pay me now, or pay me double later ". Just the inconvenience of being overheated on the shoulder waiting for tow?
The wife, the kids, whomever all hating on you. No way, I ain't that guy. :3811797817_8d685371

Pick up truck vs a Class A rig (out of pocket cost will greatly differ). I agree a repair is better but sometime a repair is not an option at that moment.

I had a leak in the same vicinity on my 1990 5.7 and I never could find a crack and I verified all lines were tight. I called my local radiator repair shop and before I could even finish telling him year/make/model he said "Let me guess, it's leaking on the driver's side plastic tank, right?" so apparently the heat from the oil just degrades the plastic tank over time. He said it's pretty common to not see a crack because they're so small they won't leak much or any until the plastic has heated up and then you'll be able to see it.

New tank on one end with a clean and flush was right around $100 I believe.
