I got parts from RockAuto today. The injector connectors were broken and there was electrical tape all over the wires, so I ordered new pigtails. The factory original wiring was intact, but the electrical tape was covering where the wiring had rubbed through the insulation. I cut the wires back and installed the new connectors. The PCV hose was also a sticky mess of electrical tape, and I discovered RockAuto has a new hose for $5. With the new parts I fired it up, and it's not even idling.
I took another Covid test this morning, and I'm finally clear, so I'll get Cole over as soon as possible and we'll get the fuel pump swapped out.
I'm still trying to figure out why the parking lamps stay on all the time. I pulled the parking lamp fuse and disconnected the headlight and dimmer switches and the parking lamps still stay on all the time when the battery's connected. The wiring at the lamps looks pristine, and there's no evidence of hackery around the fuse box. Anybody got any leads on this?
The one wiring issue I do know I still need to fix are the two orange wires that got cut on the rust hole in the floorboard. Looking at the wiring diagram, there should be one orange wire going to the dome light. I cut the wires back to good copper, and one of them is hot all the time - that should be the dome light wire because the switching is on the ground side. I have no idea what the other wire is for, and I haven't figured out what sends it power yet.
