I bought headlights that have the halo, also bought the combo with yellow LED’s.

I spliced the halo wires (separate from the main headlights) into the yellow “blinker” (black to black, and Green-WhT to brown.
(so the halo would run when I have it switched to 1/2 (daytime).

The halo has power and comes on fine with the daytime yellow.

Problem is if my headlight switch is 1/2 or at full headlights on, the blinker dosent blink. The only way they blink is if the lights are off. The second I turn light switch on, I get a solid blinker arrow.

hopefully someone had the same thing and can direct me. I have watched a few YT Videos and no one goes through a blinker sequence or says you have to do this a certain way.

Do your truck come with DRL ? Did you review the wiring diagram or guess? So your moving the headlight switch to parking , first position on switch? Did you get instructions for wiring install?

Yes, however the instructions suck. They mention red and black. (These are green and black) no big deal. But the headlight instructions don’t deal with the yellow being converted. Now the wires being tapped into don’t change regardless. Pretty simple, you just splice your halo into the parking lights so they run on the daytime or full headlights. I know there is a LMC relay you get when you run full LED Headlights. I don’t know if that has something to do with my blinker issue.

Alright, yes they do not hyperflash anymore with the ED29 LED Flasher updgrade. However, my lights are no better.

If anyone has done this, what did you do? I spliced my DRL/halo into the parking lights (yellow bottom). It’s no bueno, the videos I watched just showcase the lights, no one really post a “howto YouTube” they only post a “I updgraded and here is what I bought, here is the final product” worthless…., the one I saw the guy did state he ran the halo’s to a Sasquatch Switch on their own. I was just curious if anyone spliced them to something and what/how.

As of now I plan on running the halos. To their own switch unless someone chimes in on what they did.

Thanks for the responses! No bad ones, everything helps

If you have the LED flasher and it's still ******* up the 2 stage lighting then you need to add resistors inline with the halos. The standard hyperflash fix ones will work.

Mine are hardwired to battery with a master disconnect that's cut off when I park. I've considered the same with the halos on the chevy, and just on 24/7, since the measured draw was something like .03 amps when I tested them. Low enough that I could leave them on for days without running the truck and not have an issue. It's something I may try when I get it back from the 383 install since it's going to get daily driver duty again.

I ordered a switch last night, however I finally have it right. Burnt fingers and so much “unplug this, plug that, spin that the other way”

I learned a very valuable term

POLARITY

one bulb spun, or unplugging one of the running light led connectors finally resulted in the right lights on, at the right time, blinking when I ask them too.

Splicing the halos into the 1 of 2 running lights fixed that, but I had all kinds of weird ****. If I put my blinker on then both side minus the halo/ one corner light wouldn’t work unless I turned the polar on the headlight. POLARITY - I hate electronics, I’ll do mechanical allllll day long…. F-Wires!!!

Thanks Fam for the responses, I hope I can help someon In The future when they run into this problem

Did you wire the halos into the front parking light that also is front turn signal?
I would wire power for halos to the ignition in RUN position, as the purpose is to be seen when driving.
Take it out of the lighting circuits.
My brother in law picked up a late model Denali Suburban. " Hey the DRLs aren't working, help" . Ok, fuses, broken wires, bulbs. Did you look in the owners manual? No, why. It tells you how things work. " The DRLs come on when the vehicle is in DRIVE.
