Ok I got marketplaced on a 95 2500 . It starts it goes and it Carrie’s (so far). The thing is , they took a paint rig to the entire truck. I mean inside, outside, engine, under, on top, behind, and places yet to be found. Stickers are either gone or painted over and a good portion of the unnecessary (apparently) “stuff” under the hood is gone. Smells to high he’ll, super rich I think. Anyway, how beneficial would it be to replace all that fancy egr vacuum line environmentally crap ? When I start it, hot/cold doesn’t matter, it lugs and glugs like it’s full of molasses for ten or fifteen seconds then the rpm’s shoot up and even out and time to go. I do like to get it to not smelling so bad first, where should I start?

What's " got marketplaced" ? " it Carrie's " Whose Carrie?
Start with the service manual, figure out what's missing, replace. Then a good tune up, filters and fluids. Would be a start.

no comprende, Bato. Sprechen sie Englishe bitte!

Imho when one is really stinkin' it's stuff that has soaked down into the jute padding under the carpet. Hard to get rid of smells until you replace the padding. Repeated spilled drinks drinks, water ingress from leaks etc, and it makes for a funky mildewed mess.

EGR working properly, or disabled, will have ZERO effect on a cold engine.

Connect a scan tool, look for "codes", but more important--look at the data stream where the REAL info is. Verify EVERY sensor.

How old are the usual "tune-up" items--cap, rotor, plug wires, spark plugs, air and fuel filters? Verify PCV and base timing, and assure that the timing advance works.

Check fuel pressure, at idle and under load.

Weeeellllllll. I noticed I was wrong.
I'm not finding anything that was removed ha. But it is not routed like it's sister truck. So this morning I got what I zneed off the other truck. But now I'm stuck in the relearn process. Problem is that the rpms are at 2k and climbing. So some thing is backwards is my guess
