I know when i got my tune last fall that retunes were only for a year. When i started looking into black bear the new policy had been in place for a couple of months already.
Some guys were pi55ed and others were eh and understood why he did it.
The thinking was he can't spend all day every day doing retunes for free and stay in business.

I really was just trying to clarify what the policy is now, I guess I’m more in the understanding why he did it camp. If I ever re- gear I’ll just pay the nominal fee.
I understand where he is coming from.
Some guys will pester the ever living crap out of you on small things they change and then want the tune changed.
When both partys are happy with initial tune then deal is done. Any future changes would need a charge or the tuners time isnt worth much.
I get guys changing cams, gears, converters, tire sizes, engines, Changing nitrous or boost levels often.
Now i just suggest getting a Holley ECU to make everybodys life easier.

PCM hammer is one LS droid the other. if you have HP great you could have a dozen ECMs with the same vin and use the same license through HP if you wanted. or you read write with pcmhammer/ls droid and log with tunerpro or equivalant.

fair but you can overwrite all that so it thinks their identical ecms

what a nice thing to say. I have not personally switched vins however ive been directly next to my friend who plugged my ecm into his ls droid, rewrote whatever so it thought it was his truck and run it on the same license as HPtuners.. Go onto driveway engineer or sloppy etc and this isnt a new thing. IF its not possible well then i guess im not tuning my camaro via HPT?
