I'm at a loss, I've checked everything and there's no wires that appear externally damaged. I guess I'll try and get another turn signal stalk and try again.

Mine was working fine for a day then blew a fuse again. Idk if it was because I put a 10A in instead of a 20 or what. I don't what else mine could be either besides the reverse switch or a bad socket on the front.

Probably because of the 10A; I know I tried a 15A for ***** and giggles and it immediately popped. Maybe I should check out the sockets up front? I don't know how that would cause it to blow a fuse when I press the brake pedal but these trucks are weird when it comes to wiring

If you have your flashers on and hit the brake, the fronts light up the brighter element as if it were a brake bulb. Dunno if that helps

So I've learned something, the ground I thought needed to be hooked up because I thought that was the issue? Unhooked it and I'm not longer blowing fuses, the taillights work fine as well too so I guess it's been an issue longer than I thought. Once the weather gets nicer I'll lay under the truck and trace the wires all along the truck.

Weird electrical gremlins are fun aren't they? Glad you worked it out.

Once upon I time I was putting a stereo in my 1992 Toyota 4runner. In modern context, don't ask me why I tried doing it this way, but I wanted to use a wire from the wiring harness to ground the stereo, instead of just going to the dash board frame. I know, I know... but it was a long time ago. Anyways after hunting around for a bit I found a "ground wire". If you know anything about that era Toyotas, they used a switched ground for body lighting. Guess what happened when I turned everything on.... haha let all the smoke out of that "ground wire". Ooops....

What stumps me is I let the truck sit with the lights on, 4-ways flashing, held the brake pedal and the fuse didn't pop, didn't even get hot but I know it's getting hot somewhere. I guess it explains the 30A fuse as well.
Now it needs new taillights before I can start driving it, the ones on it are stripped out and barely holding on now, the last thing I want to do is lose one going down the road.

I had best buy wire in a stereo for my older Chevy LUV way back when. They tapped into my wiper motor feed wire. When I hit the wipers my Dual stereo deck (with the power slide-down faceplate) would turn off, boot, slide up and then down. By the time the CD would spool up it'd wipe again and do the same thing.

Got a couple things I need to button up, washed it today and started getting some of the crap out of it. I'm trying to fix up the tow mirrors and I successfully shattered the glass trying to take it apart. So I guess Boost Auto is going to be getting a big order for parts for this truck.

Found the source of my mystery vibration, carrier bearing is going out, it's got a couple centimeters of play left and right; going to drive it to work and home at the bare minimum just to get some miles on it and maybe next weekend throw a new bearing on.
