I know I already posted a different thread about this but we hit a dead end so I now have a video to give better context.
When I get on the gas hard 85-100% throttle the truck cuts out and wont go past 3500 or so rpm. it will hit that rev range and the truck just wont accelerate. it also does it in neutral even with no load on the engine.

I have these things that are new in the truck only thing I have done as a result of this issue is fuel filter. last thing I want is to throw parts at it randomly

Distributor rotor
fuel filter
fuel pump
cam sensor
alternator
battery

The Tps looks good I put a scanner on
fuel pressure was tested partially and appears fine but I am going to test it with the issue in the coming week

Check back pressure of the exhaust. Clogged/failed converter can cause what you are describing.

Also check the throttle linkage and make sure that when you have the pedal all the way down the throttle body is also going wide open.

I had a bad coil doing the same thing once on my 97.

I was thinking if it happened slowly over time plugged cat or cats. Sudden like either fuel or spark.

He needs to check the fuel pressure at WOT too. In the driveway will tell him nothing. When the OE fuel pump bulkhead connector starting getting resistence in it my fuel pressure dropped and so did power. It showed up extremely lean fuel trims though. Where my coil issue showed up as a hesitation, power loss and within a week or so a no start on a cold, damp morning. Oddly enough neither had a noticeable misfire.

new video i put a scanner on it and this is what I found, when I go slow on the throttle it doesnt do it. the Air fuel ratio stays flat when the problem is not occuring but drops down when the problem happens that is where you see the large dip in the graph.

The exhaust is not backed up

You would think I could figure it out with the fancy Snap-On scanner I'm using but no
