Hey Folks. Just joined the forum. I’m retired and live in S-E Arizona. Back when I was smarter I drove a ‘95 2WD, a ‘97 4WD 2500, a ‘97 2WD 1500, and lastly, a ‘99 4WD 1500 Suburban. About ten years ago I got this ridiculous idea that I wanted NEW vehicles. So started many years of unhappy and very expensive driving.

A few months ago I scored a good deal on a 2005 2WD Silverado and was pretty sure I’d found heaven. But that wasn‘t quite perfect. In a couple of days I’m making a road trip to pick up a very nice ‘95 4WD Sierra 1500 extended cab that hasn’t run in 12 years. I actually went to retrieve it last weekend but there were issues with the trailer so my 13 hour round trip was a bust.

Anyway… I’m looking forward to picking your brains as I encounter the inevitable issues while getting this truck back on the road. I’ve been on enough forums over the past 20 or so years that I’m very familiar with the search function and promise to not start “what’s the best oil” threads.

Tom.

The stupid story is that the trailer deck was 12’9” long. The wheelbase is 141.5”. So it should just fit, right? Wrong. Even flattening the front tires and jamming it as far forward as possible left the rear tires hanging off. So I bought another car trailer on Monday and will REALLY be picking it up this Sunday.

Welcome to the forum!

Oh, bless you for not posting a best oil thread!

Welcome! And no more "what tires should I get" threads either! :rotflmao:

Post up some more pics when you get it home, and keep us posted on getting it running again.
