Apologies for reviving an old post, I lost sleep looking for frame info last night.
What i found was interesting as it confirms that both C/K2500 and C/K3500 have the exact same frame.
Thickness of the frame gets thicker with the cab configuration.
Attached is the frame specs from 1991 catalog from gm heritage center.
You will not find any info on frame thickness in gm heritage files on the later models.
