Done with the driver's side door panel.

Got a new run channel in on Friday from GM Parts Giant, so about to install that, and then the window and door panel.

Also got a new grommet and other odds and ends for the door.

I do have to buy a stock speaker, but I'll get that when I find and buy a replacement door trim panel. No sense installing a speaker and leaving it prone to damage without a door panel over it.

Also, got a nice surprise coming on Monday from GM Parts Giant.

OMGAD that was a lot of work. Didn't realize I had to lower the window regulator about an inch to get the panel on. Can't do it manually; have to apply power to the motor. But with no battery in the truck and all the wiring disconnected, I had to run some jumper wires from the window motor at the door panel switch connector (terminals A and E) and used a portable jumper box to supply power and ground.

Makes sense it’s still available considering the time span it covered.
Oddly it's slightly different than the one I am replacing. An extra hole or two. But, I think that was added to later casts to incorporate the GMT800s. Don't think they will affect the operation whatsoever on the GMT400.

Edit: It's those two holes in the photo, top right corner. I was looking at photos I took of my previous housing and don't see those holes.

For all those extra, unneeded parts on the newer trucks.
