I totally forgot about the higher-pressure 454 TBI pump/injectors. Thanks for that.

What injectors/TBI unit are you using? The parts from the 350, or the parts from the donor 454?

How old is the fuel filter?

You can get a fuel pressure tester set-up from the loaner-tool program at various parts stores. I've used loaner tools from NAPA, O'Reillys, and Autozone.

Also I don't know which pump you put in but the later TBI 454 runs a higher pressure then the small block TBI

changed it all to the 454 stuff tbi injectors fuel pump trashed all the 350 stuff and pit all 454 stuff in unless the Tbi unit I have isn't a bbc one

^^^This, to elaborate - 94 - 95 7.4L TBI ran 28 - 32 PSI with smaller injectors while others' volume are based on 13 PSI. You s/b able to tell what you have by looking at their color and/or part #. If it is 94 - 95 7.4L you can throw in a 28 LB spring in it and use an EP381 pump from a 96 Vortec truck.

454 tbi throttle body it self has larger blades than the 350 unit. Then as mentioned injectors and fuel pressure setting. Should check the wiring as well if getting electrical issues

^^^This, the 7.4L Throttle Body has 50mm (almost 2") bore throats where the OE small block TBs are 42mm (~1-11/16"). A 454 will not breathe properly with a 5.7L TB and 7.4L injectors but, a 5.7L will be fine with smaller injectors in a 50mm TB, AND TUNED VE (Volumetric Efficiency) TABLES. A 5.7L TB with 88-93 7.4L injectors will flood out at lower RPMs. :33:

BTW I happen to have a pair of flow matched 17084304 injectors I tried in a bored 46mm TB on my 5.7L. My EBL Flash-II shut off the injectors completely at idle trying to get it up to 14.7 AFR :(
