I started on Monday, the 10th.
It's going great so far. Using a ton off gas because I refuse to drive my lady's camary. I feel like I'm driving in the fetal position when I drive that thing. I've been driving the gmt800 because my 1995 c2500 has something going on with the ignition system I haven't been able to pinpoint.

We started with saftey obviously. It was boring to be because I've taken plenty of saftey courses in my time of being an industrial maintenance tech. Made a 98 on the saftey exam.
Now we are on chapters 2 and 3. Which is about tools, bolt types, grades, and tool care and maintenance. I am well versed with tools already and the different uses of different tools BUT this still interests me because I have a weird infatuation about tools. I'm always down to talk tools.
I have my box mostly complete from the tool list. I'm only missing my welding hood and gloves. And a set of torx sockets. I'll get those next week.
But overall as of the first week, so far so good. The only major gripe I have is that my first book cost me 135 beans.
I'll post a pic of the book so hopefully the forum members might gripe with me.
I figured you guys would want an update considering this thread got more replies than I figured it would get lol

Updating again:
Going to take my final exam for the first semester in the morning. I have straight A's in class so far.
So far my daily schedule is wake up at 5:30, be at school by 7:30, get out at 2:00, be at work at 3:00 and hopefully get off at midnight. Usually get home around 12:45.
Need to catch up on some sleep one day lol.
Again, thank you all for the support that has come from the members of this forum. You guys and gals rock.

To your point, a non-technical undergrad college degree is more an indicator to a prospective employer that you are capable of following directions and completing tasks than it's anything else.
I'm going to respond to this in more depth...just not now. I do agree, to a point.
