I got a 1998 k1500. My blinkers work fine when the lights are off. Right and left work but hazards don’t. When my lights are on the left blinker works but right doesn’t. When I turn on the right blinker it sometimes makes a buzzing sound(a fast buzz) but sometimes it will work but it will make both blinker flash. Acting like I turned on hazards when I only clicked on the right blinker. And also the right arrow on my gauge cluster is on when I turn on my lights and stays on. Also when my lights are not on, the right blinker works but each time it blinks the whole gauge cluster flashes each time it blinks? What could this be?

Did this just start happening or has it gotten progressively worse... Any sign of mice invading? They might have eaten some pixies or drank some of your blinker fluid.

Still full on blinker fluid. No mice or pixies I’m pretty sure.

Not sure about your other issues (although it really sounds like a ground issue of some sort) but this one might actually be normal operation. Was your foot on the brake when you tested the hazards? If so, they won't flash. The way these trucks are designed they favor solid brake lights over flashing the hazards. So if your foot is on the brake when the hazards are on, the hazards won't flash. Take your foot off the brake and they should flash again.

Its always the grounds.... clean/re-do any grounds in the engine bay add new ones if inclined. When I swapped motors in my 93, I went crazy adding a bunch of new grounds and repairing old ones. It fixed an odd wiper gremlin that I thought for sure was a bad stalk on the column.

Where are the grounds for it?

If i remember correctly there was one or two on the radiator support, I believe there is one on the inner fender. Follow your harnes in the engine bay. The negative bat cable should also have a pigtail to the inner fender.

I added grounds from the cab to the frame, the radiator support to the frame and a larger gauge wire from the engine block to the frame.

But... they'll flash in a suburban with your foot on the brakes.

They won’t flash with or without brakes. For some reason the right blinker will flash the hazards when lights are off and it won’t do anything when lights are on

Okay so flipping the bulb the other way fixed it. Now both blinkers work in the front. But the rear blinker doesn’t work for the right side. It’s all new bulbs and the lights come on when lights are turned on but it doesnt blink. And why do they blink opposite of each other on the front?
