Thousands of years ago, I avoided any battery made by Exide, regardless of the brand name on the sticker on the case. And I was very fond of Interstate.

Far as I can tell, Interstate has gone downhill.

East Penn seems to be good.

As with any battery--if the charging system is good, and there's no parasitic drain, no excessive starter draw, no wire-harness problems, and you keep the battery case clean and the connections tight--you'll likely get reasonable service.

What I'm using in my crew cab is the Duracell branded group 78 battery from Sam's Club. So far so good, and it has a 3 year warranty IIRC (as long as my + membership is current!). The one in the Burb is one from O'Reilly's, a Super Start or whatever their brand is.
Most brands of regular car/truck batteries last 3 years or a few months more, in Houston, Texas conditions. Hot humid summers, cool damp winters, and lots of underhood heat no matter what time of year.
I agree about batteries being made by a couple of companies, that put whatever brand name on them...but when Sam's Club had the Energizer branded ones, they didn't last as long! The Duracell branded ones seem to last much longer. Just like the flashlight batteries; I don't like to use anything but Duracell.

Truth.

I usually get 3-5 years out a battery but I have never figured out the secret why some last longer and some don't. I just buy the cheapest now.

I once spent over $400 for dual Optima batteries in my Jeep and they were both toast after 2 years.

Echoing what @df2x4 said, Odyssey all the way. Accidentally damaged the original one I've had in the truck since 2020, called Odyssey and they sent me a new one.
Stay away from DieHards and Interstates. The DieHard 34/78s I bought in April of 22 have died 4 times; I had a 2 year old Interstate in my red truck that failed catastrophically.

I've also heard great things about Everstarts, I believe they're manufactured by East Penn which also makes Deka,

And I believe East Penn makes the power sports batteries for a few of the parts stores. I have one in my Z06, so far so good. Their good name convinced me to pull the trigger.

Living in the heat of a desert, you'll be lucky to have one last 3 years if you don't take care of it. Once a month I'll throw a trickle charge on it overnight to keep it up. AFAIK, the alternator will only maintain the charge on a battery, it won't bring it back from a discharged state. With all the electronic components, you're draining the battery every time you shut it off so, you need to maintain it!

Another vote for Odyssey. The last one I had hooked up to the big block lived 11 years. Optima turned to junk long ago, Interstate more recently. A good mechanic I know dumped them because they left too many of his customers stranded the last few years.

That's awesome. I remember reading that Summit was giving you the run-around. I figured Odyssey would replace it, glad they did.

One more note, the 7+ year old Odyssey that I replaced still started the truck. It was just cranking a little slower and reading low on my battery tester. The most graceful battery "failure" I've ever experienced.

Last time I spent real money, went with x2power. They had I believe 5 year full replacement warranty at the time. Similar to odyssey. Long ago stopped buying neverstarts from walmart as they kept failing, but either things changed or I just stumbled in to a bad luck at the time
