Tried back to front tire swap, feels the same. Should have driveshaft back and in by Wed/Thurs.
You're driving it WITHOUT the (rear) driveshaft, and it still shakes? Probably not that driveshaft, then. 'Course, the transfer case output shaft isn't supported in the bushing with no driveshaft yoke in place.

Bent wheel, bent axle shaft, bad bearing(s) in the axle housing somewhere, maybe a chipped ring 'n' pinion gear.

Potentially the FRONT drive shaft, or in the front axle--but that often shows up as steering wheel shake.

If it was engine or torque converter, it'd do it in neutral.

Didn't drive it w/o driveshaft in.

You can wrap a couple thick orange gloves around the transfer case output and tie it very well, and put it in 4x4 and drive it some. That was how we eliminated the front parts from being the vibration in my dads truck. With the rear section out, his drove very smooth, then with the rear in, it vibrated. Just be sure to keep an eye on the gloves and make sure they don't come off or you will ruin your transfer case.

Final Update: driveshaft shop said shaft had a dent/bend, they worked it out and rebalanced shaft and new u joint assay, shaking at 65mph+ is gone! Cost = $225 for 2 replacement u joints, shaft straighten and balance.

I did essentially the same thing with my '03 Trailblazer rear drive shaft.

They put in two U-joints (the rear U-joint was totaled, front seemed OK, but got replaced anyway) and "straightened" the shaft.

Lasted about two years before the shaft must have re-bent itself again. Even though the U-joints were good, the same vibration at the same speeds came back.

I got a Treasure Yard shaft, popped a rear U-joint into it (again, front U-joint seemed OK) and again the vibration went away.

At the point it vibrates again, it's getting a larger-diameter shaft from an extended-wheelbase Trailblazer, cut down to length.
