Can I safely press in another set of ball joints in stamped steel arms?

Several months ago I replaced my ballpoints with some cheap autozone ones. I regret it, because the boots tore on both sides. If I were to press in new ones, it’ll be the second time the truck has had ball joints replaced. I am going with OEM ones now. Am I safe to do so? Should I instead buy new control arms? Could the control arm be stretched too much? I’ve read several different opinions online.

I’ve never heard you couldn’t, assuming recent work was done appropriately. I also agree with using Mevotech TTX ball joints, unless you want to replace them again.
