Kinda loaded question, depends what you wanna do with it, how big a tire, etc. But IMO, 78/79 Ford Dana 44 high pinion for small-ish tires, or not hardcore wheeling. Same year Dana 60 for big tires and/or hardcore wheeling. But those years 60s go for insane amount of money. Can use a later year 60, but need to limit tire size to 38s, or the lugs will hit the springs at full lock. Could run spacers or crazy offset wheels. Also cheaper. These axles are driver drop so will match t-case output. Can use a Dodge or GM axle, but then need pass drop t-case, and they are tough to find with VSS. Also need to swap pass knuckle to a flat top (10 bolt or Dana 44) for use with crossover steering. Dana 60 easy to put crossover arm on.

Most kits use 73-87 Chevy front springs. ORD has options for 52s, which are rear springs, and custom after that. Diy4X kit can use either 47s or 52s just be flipping the rear hangers around side to side. Sky Man. has kinda universal kit, just don’t know how much can slide things around to get different length springs under it. But if using GM fronts, a 4” lift spring will get you bout 6”, all depends what spring, condition, motor, winch etc. truck I have has stock front and has about 3-4” lift. Need to clean my garage out so can get a measurement from my other truck that is stock. But it sits on 33s, and looks to be 3-4”.
