RockAuto WAI Alternator?

Isn't it the earlier case design? I think the mounting ears are 180 degrees from each other atleast. If the AD244 can be had in that form, it won't be from the normally recommended vehicles.
on a truck needing a rear support bracket for hte cs144 i would find a way to utilize it on the ad244 for the good of the bracket the alt is on,Later ones ive heard can go withouit/may not come with it.

The 96+ bracket does not need the brace. GM put DR44s IIRC on the later factory built 4.3L using the same bracket. Looking at a later 2000s V6 truck is how I figured out that it was a direct bolt-on.

when did they use 4.3 through? Because 2002-2004 i think is when DR44 started, also when they started using bosch and denso and probably more alts often

2014ish in the Express and through 2013ish in the GMT900 trucks. They used the 350 until about 2007 in Mexico in the GMT800s too. My PCM flash in the van started life as a 2005 Mexican 1 ton 350.

The 292 lived on to become a marine engine which then changed into the 4.2 vortec iirc

Got it pulled off today. Part #10480094 delco-remy etched into side of it.

found broken mounting point too.. local shop has a cs130d rebuilt for good price. Think ima go that route.


said For my truck didnt recommen the ad244 upgrade as i only have basically a winch added. the amount of modifications and having no extra sound / audio didnt justify it. said he had a ton hed sell me for cheaper… but not worth it. The big 5 ground / power upgrade will already help a ton. Also gona get a battery tender.

Got it pulled off today. Part #10480094 delco-remy etched into side of it.

If the local shop doesn't need your core, you might try rebuilding it yourself as you have time/funds. You can get parts online, and youtube should have videos on it. I haven't taken a part this new of an alternator, but I've taken apart a 10dn and a 12si, and it was kinda fun.

Yalll.. installed the cs130d .; rockauto 8206-nHO 190 amp… Bought a new pigtail and was able to depin old one / repin in “L” position. Truck sat up for a month. Dead battery.. still under warranty so went and got a new one. That was monday. Yesterday TRUCK DEADER THAN DOORNAIL. went to auto zone this evening. Battery good, starter good, ALTERNATOR bad! Do i need to hook the other 3 wires up on the new plug or is this alternator bad from factory prety much???

Just need confirmation of running the “s” to ignition 12v not constant 12. and some Videos are saying put a 470ohm resister in line with it
